A proven track record of successful strategic leadership in financial role in a complex organisation
A sophisticated understanding of Charity governance and the respective roles between the Board and the Executive
An articulate and effective communicator, committed to and able to represent the NSPCC’s values at all times
Significant analytical skills, commercial acumen, with a strong appreciation of financial oversight and risk management within a complex organisation
Commercially minded with a demonstrable knowledge of charity financial requirements, including pension and investment matters
Significant experience of building effective relationships with internal and external auditors to ensure that robust controls are in place.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interrogate and interpret complex information
A proven track record of sound judgement and effective decision making
A history of impartiality, fairness and the ability to respect confidences
Commitment to the aims of the Society and a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort
A demonstrable commitment to the Nolan principles of public life (selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, leadership).
